NASCAR Fantasy Racing 2008 Official Rules
The Sprint Cup season will be divided up into two (2) 18 race segments. Prizes will be given to each segment winner. The team with the most acquired team points at the end of a segment is the winner of that segment.
How to Play
Each owner starts off with $500,000 in fantasy money to draft a team of 4 Sprint Cup drivers. The drivers have been assigned a fantasy dollar amount based on the previous season’s performances. Remember when looking at the 2007 Driver’s Values List that some drivers who raced last year will not be back for this season, at the same time there may be some new drivers as well that are not shown on the list. NOTE: NO TWO TEAMS WILL BE ALIKE! TEAMS WILL BE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS!
Each owner must choose a team of 4 drivers without exceeding the $500,000 fantasy salary cap. Although an owner may NOT go over the $500,000, an owner is NOT required to spend all of the $500,000 in the initial draft. Any money left over from the initial draft will be put in your fantasy bank account and can be used for future trades.
During the 18-race segment, each owner will be allowed to make 1 free driver trade each race week; however the trade must be submitted before the start of the race that week (I will require your trades this year by the end of Final Practice on Saturdays or the day before the race). These trades are optional, not mandatory. Any trades exceeding the one free are $1.00 per trade. Since each owner is permitted to make 1 trade before each race, the cumulative total of the drivers being added must not exceed the cumulative total of the drivers being dropped plus the amount of cash available in your fantasy bank account. MUST always be at or under $500,000 fantasy cash!
Value of drivers being added = value of drivers being dropped + bank account (if needed)
Driver Changes
Driver changes are due NO LATER THAN THE END OF FINAL PRACTICE. No exceptions! If a driver fails to qualify for the race a change will be permitted before the start of the race. If a driver DNF’s (Does Not Finish) the race, no replacement will be rewarded, the team owner takes the loss of points for that driver. If a driver DNQ’s (does not qualify) the race and the team owner fails to make a trade before the race then no replacement will be awarded, the team owner takes the loss of points for that driver missing the race. REMEMBER: IT IS EACH TEAM OWNER’S responsibility to check on the status of his drivers before each race. If DNQ’s or DNF’s happen and the team owner is unaware, that team will take the loss resulting on race day.
Race Results
Results for each race will be posted no later than one day after Race day (exceptions to this will occur, i.e. leave, vacation, holidays, computer issues, etc.) Race Results will be sent to each team owner via email (Email Address required to play). Remember that any info, trades, or results requests should be made to Raspla03@hotmail.com. Information included in each email will be: 1. Individual Team (Drivers, Driver Values, Points Acquired, Total Points, Total Money Spent.) 2. All other Team results to include trade information if any and points tallies. (This is to curb any suspicions of cheating or point addition problems). 3. Race Statistics (Winner picks, etc.)

Scoring
*CHANGE* Points will be awarded just as NASCAR does for each race. If you are unfamiliar with the Sprint Cup points system, please refer to the table below. This is the points system that will be used to tally up driver points after each race.
The following bonus points will also be awarded:
Results will usually be posted by Monday following the race; however this may not always be true.
The points mentioned above are the individual driver points acquired based upon where the driver finishes the race. These points will be added up at the end of the race and that will be the total Driver Points for that race. These combined driver points will determine where the team places in the weekly results, however the total driver points WILL NOT determine the champion of each segment. Instead the points that matter will be awarded for where the team places for the weekly results. For example;
Dragon Racing would get 175 points for finishing this race in 1st place. BlackRose would receive 170 and Z would get 165. The points that will determine who wins at the end of each segment, will be the Team points and not the Driver points.
Entry Fees
Entry fees are $10.00 per 18 race segment. $20.00 for both segments.
Entry Fees will be due before the first race of each segment. Any team owner that does not send the base Entry Fee ($10.00) to me by the beginning of each segment WILL NOT be allowed to play that segment. This change has come about due to the tardiness of payment at the end of past segments. Stop and think, if you win the segment would you not want your winnings as soon as you possibly could? In other words, pay before you play. The management will accept cash only, please NO CHECKS! I do not have a PayPal account so electronic transfer is not possible.
